TokenBrake is built privacy-first: the product runs on your own infrastructure, and we designed the purchase flow to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what is and isn't handled by Northjule ("we", "us").
The TokenBrake software runs on your server. It is built so that:
~/.tokenbrake/). There is no database and no server component. We have no access to them.There is nothing to sign up for. Downloading and running TokenBrake requires no account, no email address and no card.
If you buy a commercial licence, the checkout is handled by Gumroad, who are the merchant of record for that sale. They collect your name, email, payment details and whatever tax information your country requires, under their own privacy policy. We never see or hold your card details. What we can see in their dashboard is what any seller sees: an order reference, the amount, the country, and the buyer's email address.
You paste your Gumroad licence key at tokenbrake.com/get. We check it against Gumroad's public verification endpoint and hand back a TokenBrake key. There is no database. Your TokenBrake key is derived mathematically from your Gumroad key rather than looked up, which is why re-pasting the same purchase always returns the same key — and why we have nothing stored to lose or leak. Our server log records the Gumroad order reference and a timestamp so a purchase can be reconciled. Nothing else.
To fulfil your purchase and answer you if you email us. That's the whole list. We do not sell information, we do not advertise, we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
There is no analytics platform, no email marketing provider and no CRM on this website.
One thing worth saying plainly, because you'd find it anyway: Gumroad's own checkout pages load their advertising and analytics trackers (Google Analytics, and Meta and TikTok pixels). That is Gumroad's checkout, not ours, and it applies only once you click through to buy — but "no trackers" would be a misleading thing for us to say without mentioning it.
To ask what we hold or to have it removed, email us at the address below and we'll handle it promptly. For anything held on the payment side — your card, your billing details, your receipt — Gumroad is the controller and their privacy policy governs it.
